St. Mary's Church is the parish church of the village and is of the Church of England denomination. Here we see it from the Bury. Other places of worship in the village are the Methodist Church at the northern end of Fore Street and The Silverton Evangelical Chapel in School Road.

This view is from the north and shows the church on a late winter's afternoon. The yew trees are a common sight in English churchyards and are many hundreds of years old. The tower is the preserve of the bell-ringers.

Here we see an interior shot of the Church looking towards the altar. The school is a Church of England school and at the end of each term the children come to the church for a service.

The Church as seen in late December 1997. The snow only lasted for a day or so - as is common in Silverton.
