A high level shot from a "cherry picker" across the Little Rec. to Bycott
with Byways behind it. The Little Rec. adjoins the Square
and is a meeting point for the youths of the village. The rear part of
this ground used to be known as The Headmaster's Garden when the British
Legion was the boy's school |
Looking across School Road towards the back of the thatched cottages at
the southern end of Fore Street. The snow lasted
for about a day in December '97. |
A view of the former "Brady's Garage" site in School Road. The old garage
and petrol station has been demolished and Rockeagle
will be building a number of houses here, hopefully, soon. |
Another view across the site. This time towards the north. Where the man
is standing with his dog a new link road is to be formed to Wyndham
Road. This means that traffic to the Community
Hall, the Doctors, etc. will no longer have
to go up Coach Road - to the residents long
awaited delight. |
Here is the gateway to a path through the graveyard to St.
Mary's Church. The building on the left is "The Church Offices". |
Looking down School Road towards Bradninch and Broadclyst. |
